@zackwhittaker age verification has nothing to do with age. It's has everything to do with collecting your biometrics. You can change a password but you can't change your face.

I'm a time when more and more people are waking up and fighting against global oligarchy, the oligarchs want to know exactly who is mounting resistance.

@zackwhittaker Be hilarious if the consequence of age verification laws is a brilliant new generation of drag kings.

Whether the laws are working depends on what you think the purpose of the laws is.
              If protecting children: not working.
If constructing social licence for harmful sites to continue harming ppl and with a greatly reduced level of privacy: working perfectly.

@zackwhittaker wait until #Windows #Linux #Chrome #ios acces is restricted unless (age)verification is done. In one #usa state it’s gone be law soon. Also browsers must implement age verification. #vpn will be forbidden. Laws are being made already. No anomity anymore. And guess, #bigtech has acces to all our data. #1984

@muzicofiel @zackwhittaker eh, for a law to be viable it has to be enforceable.

As for Linux, there is no way the kernel is going to include age verification.

There will be certain distros that will. But ultimately the proposed laws are far too vauge to be applicable in reality.

Like, is your roku TV going to check the age of every person that has a profile? What about your smart toaster?
