that alignment also bothers me.
the left and right sidebars are kind of awkward, too. why is the left so spaced out (logo/nav/profile stuff), but then the right has everything jammed together against the top? it looks so weird and unbalanced.

Faster, cleaner and feature packed is one way to describe it.
With way better video support thanks to Loops, we think you will appreciate all the improvements, and understand why we took our time, until it was perfect.

agreed. I'm not interested in those being pushed on me, either.

@ronvanderende @dansup @pixelfed how about the user deciding how they want to view it? I hate masonry

@dansup but how many people are actually going to use this?

artists should be able to set their preferred/default layout for their own profiles. sometimes they would like their art to be viewed a certain way, if possible!
if followers want to manually override that (maybe they can have an option to "always" override any profile layout, as well as a temporary override toggle), that's fine. but I do think artists should be given the choice to control their profile, at least for the initial viewing.

@dansup @pixelfed Oh, and please be doubly-sure that your website is fully screen-reader accessible! I remember your mobile app having lots of screen reader labels. Missing accessibility features are bugs!
I think the American Foundation for the Blind does consulting for web apps on what they need to do to improve accessibility.

@moshimotsu @dansup @pixelfed Pixelfed's image size limit is still 2MP, while Mastodon raised theirs to 8MP three years ago. So being an image oriented platform while having worse image quality than a regular social media platform is a bit weird...
placement is awkward (it doesn't align correctly with the side elements) it'll probably look better if it's slided a few pixels to the left.
