    @redrummy
    You said you're alright, and that may be true for your physical state*, but please give yourself the time and space to recover mentally and emotionally. A crash where an airbag deploys is traumatic, even if there were no apparent injuries. ๐Ÿซ‚

    *keep assessing yourself throughout the next few days/weeks, these sorts of things can pop up after your stress response recedes. Speaking from experience from both being in car crashes and bike crashes with cars.

      @James Thank you. Now that the adrenaline has worn off, I definitely feel the effect in my back & neck. Goddamnit, car culture sucks. I need to get back on the bike.

        @daj Tell me how flirtatious YOU are right after an airbag deploys in your face.

          @aral Thank you. I'm "okay" but could really use some muscle relaxants right about now.

                Oh, I forgot to mention, it was mom's car. She's of the age that "it is what it is" so she won't be punitive about the replacement. I will do whatever I can to make it right for her, obviously, because my mom is awesome, but what a mess.

                      @steter Yes, that was of course the first question I asked of the other driver, and repeatedly so. I'm sure we're both a little sore now, but otherwise not for the worse aside from the trauma.

                          I have more in my bank account than that car cost, and another of equal value at my house, for what it's worth. Anchorage is the Subaru capital of America, after all.

                            @redrummy Good. If it helps you feel any better, you are definitely an ad for Subaru today.

                                @steter Definitely a David vs Goliath in terms of overall vehicle dimensions, but those trucks aren't so tough as they look. Also, there's a reason Anchorage Continental Motors is the highest volume Subaru dealership in the world.
