I've been kicked out of a ska band for refusing to spend my time learning and playing a song by the far right supporting, racist, ego maniac shitbag, Morrissey.
That's right. A #ska band playing cover songs of explicitly anti-racist bands and OG Jamaican artists. Apparently the singer never really paid any attention to the lyrics he sings from those bands, or the whole movement of 2-Tone era ska, and felt personally insulted by my refusal.
So, mediocre #sax player now available in North Wales!

Just heard from the drummer who ended up leaving the band because of all of this. So now there probably is no band. What a waste! So stupid how some sort of toxic fan behaviour from one person resulted in so much drama. Oh well, back to sax practise.

@jeni I mean if you connect up with the drummer aren’t you like 30-40% of the way to a new band?!

Now it seems the guitar player and bass player are jumping ship and joining me, the drummer, and the drummer's wife on keys and vocals in a new band! Haha! The band lives!
