    Took a minute away from stitching towels to put a frog on my denim jacket. Much harder on my fingers but worth it.

            @secretsloth
            I am going to applique a hand sporting a peace sign. I plan to do a mix. I am sewing by hand which is more of a chore than I remembered.

            @NorcalGma2 yeah. I can't really do embroidery anymore (yet?) since I fell from my wheelchair some months ago and managed to entrap both my elbow nerves. My dominant hand index finger and thumb get very sore and numb very quickly now, so lack the dexterity. PT has been helping but have been too ill to go for some time. Hoping this latest round of steroids perks me up. But I could find a patch on Etsy or attempt to use my sewing machine. Maybe a pin? 🤔 that could work.

                    I bet there are lots of patches out there.
                    I am lucky so far that my arthritis doesn't seem to affect my ability to embroider.
                    Sending healing vibes.

                            This is a running stitch. I am using a heavy duty sharp needle for the denim. I do use embroidery needles for stitching dish towels. To stitch the denim I have to use a thimble.

                                      @NorcalGma2 @perri Small, thin tapestry needles will slip through denim (and other thick but not tightly woven cloth) like it's not there. Sharp ones get stuck and are hard to push trough. I'm not even sure why those are the most used/best known/recommended ones?

                                          I have used tapestry needles in the past. I have done some upholstery work where they came in handy. I have never seen thin ones. I've mostly used the curved needles. I will look into getting some though. Thanks.
