After 50 years of watching #ESC #Eurovision, this year will be the year where I will NOT join the wonderful family of ESC fans all over the world.

After 50 years of watching #ESC #Eurovision, this year will be the year where I will NOT join the wonderful family of ESC fans all over the world. It really pains me, as I always got so much positive energy out of watching this crazy, quirky, show that allowed me to escape the often frustrating world around me. But the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) has ignored what we, the fans, want Eurovision to be. There would be no joy for me watching it this year.

@jwildeboer Wow, that's tough. I fondly remember your enthusiastic ESC coverage in past years.

@jwildeboer I am with you mate. It is sad because it is the one thing we always did together as a family since the two boys were really young.

@jwildeboer not wanting to be a turndown guy here but I've stopped watching that nonsense long before it expanded to non-european nations
that is now a corporate event no one really wants to watch anymore, which is kinda sad
