Fediverse, a question:

@mhoye@cosocial.ca @prietschka@mastodon.social @davidgerard@circumstances.run
I think @davidgerard and @prietschka would make an interesting podcast episode. Former Data Scientist and Sysadmin, raging against the machines… or maybe just shooting the shit about how the tech world has utterly disintegrated. IDK.
@dogiedog64 @mhoye @davidgerard No, I'm a soon-to-be-retired-cat-lady and incredibly awkward. I'm also a nobody. And, as of June, will no longer be in tech. I will own a coffee shop, lol.
And there's Bender and Hanna who do an admirable job of making fun of AI too.
Plus, how long can all this last? I'm leaving because I'm noticing the beams overhead looking a bit dodgy and can sort of see the building starting to collapse.
-
Fediverse, a question:
If you could invite somebody on the Fedi to just... think out loud into a microphone for like an hour, who would it be?
Alternatively, what _two_ people on the Fedi would you love to hear just bounce around ideas together?

For a nobody, you are quite entertaining.

@mhoye ...oh, bounce IDEAS. I thought this post was going into a different direction, before I expanded it.
anyway, I nominate Jason Lefkowitz and that other guy's French friend -

You're in luck. You can listen to Charlie chat with @Jeanniewarner and @ChazBrenchley right now
(also John Schmidt and Karen Brenchley but I don't believe they're on Mastodon)
Episode 86 - Charlie Stross, Harbinger of Our Times - Writers Drinking Coffee
Charles Stross, unrepentant Pantser, as he labels himself, tells us all about his books, his inspirations, his process, and his latest projects.

I wish to speak directly to the hivemind intelligence at the heart of the fediverse. The fedi-mind the collective unconscious of all servers.
Then we could discuss the digital portion of "Project Ant"

@mhoye Corey Doctorow and the duo who are James S A Corey (Ty Franck and Daniel Abraham). I feel like their ideas about the state of the world, technology, and the future of humanity would really be interesting in conversation.

@mhoye I'd like to hear @futurebird and @pzmyers discuss the relative merits of ants and spiders.
