The Chancellor also stated that the world is no longer unipolar.The US leadership is being challenged, while China is strengthening and may equal America in the military sphere.At the same time, the EU economy is almost ten times larger than Russia's, but Europe is not using its full potential.Addressing the Balkan countries, Merz acknowledged that the EU is dragging its feet on enlargement.He promised to reconsider the approach and promote their accession despite resistance within the union.
