In the meantime, our solar panels are busy supplying the #NationalGrid...in early March...in the northern hemisphere...in Cardiff...which is one of the wettest parts of the UK

That's all after our panels filled our 2 x 13.5 Kw batteries and heated our hot water tank

Canadian government is spending Canadian tax dollars to build a pipeline to increase oil sales to no benefit to Canadians.
30 billion dollars of Canadian tax dollars COULD HAVE put solar on a million roofs, lowered costs to near free for Canadians, produce lotsa electricity for sale to power starved US, eliminated tons of forest burning CO2, created thousands of future proofed jobs in New Tech.
Which should your 30 billion of taxes support?

Canada's climate "PR" is criminally effective bullshit. Canada is a climate criminal. Canada promises officially, it will sell oil after all other nations have stopped. Officially.
UN Secretary General says Canada is "delusional"

To us, it was a "no brainer"

Even though I'm 70 at the end of this month and my wife will be 74 in July and we probably won't be around to see the full benefit of our investment...we're investing in trying to protect our planet for the future

@TCMuffin We just had a 7-hour power outage. I'm kinda wishing we had some batteries right now.

@TCMuffin Similar!
Did the maths work out for you on the hot water heating? It feels completely unviable here, the gas it's replacing is just too cheap, and the official hardware is so expensive and unreliable.
