        @oldclumsy_nowmad

        I also had a hard time figuring it out. It's at the bottom of the elia ayoub one in the url that begins with twitter-thread.

        Before I found it, my guess was they made the first 20 points sound as innocuous and sweetly optimistic as they could before delivering points 21 and 22. They tried to do that, but….there are -a bunch- of whacked out points in that thing. Wow. They are just insane.

                    I can't get past this one, freedom through authoritarianism:
                    4. The limits of soft power, of soaring rhetoric alone, have been exposed. The ability of free and democratic societies to prevail requires something more than moral appeal. It requires hard power, and hard power in this century will be built on software.

                              The points that truly disgusted me were the "yes- we will build better rifles to kill!!!! That is good!!!" Talk about brainwashed people. Wow.

                                      "Points 9, 18 and 19 go after accountability directly. Scrutiny of public figures is reframed as cultural sickness driving talent away from public life. The problem becomes people scrutinising, not people being scrutinised.

                                      Healthy accountability is triggered by evidence, points upward at power & is public. Disordered accountability protects insiders & aims punishment outward. The document argues for second while calling it the first."

I always found that hard to believe as it was always creepy and cultish. But after this... anyone still working there..."
