    People all over the US have been having sign making parties in preparation for #NoKings.

    I have zero artistic skills but always admire people who make their own signs. (I wave a Ukrainian flag and figure that says it all for me.)

    "USED PIZZA BOXES AGAINST TRUMP" is exactly the vibe we're going for here. Ain't nobody paying us to protest or I personally would be *rolling* in the dough.

      @MaryAustinBooks Rubber cement? I must be missing a trick here. What do you use rubber cement for?

        @MaryAustinBooks You and me both! We constantly get accused by the far right of being "paid agitators", which is pure projection: it's their own movements across Europe that are lavishly financed by billionaire donors. It's their British hero, Tommy Robinson who lives in a £950 luxury home in Bedfordshire, and put six other houses in his wife's name before declaring bankruptcy.

        I'm averaging one protest or organising event every week so far for '26, and am still awaiting my cheque from Soros! 😆

          @obot50549535 Search me, I suck at crafts. They must be sticking printouts or small objects to their protest signs.

            @MaryAustinBooks Harbor Freight did that to me for epoxy. Cashier was assuming there must be an uptick in kids sniffing glue again, but inconveniencing people making protest signs might be a likelier reason.

                @Ashmire oh my! I was really wondering why anybody would control sales of rubber cement.

                  That last quote from the Minneapolis organizer is key, "we really need everyone to find a minute".

                    @MaryAustinBooks
                    Ha, yeah. Mrs. Water was just out getting foam-board, and I ended-up cutting a perfect panel from a Costco box and making mine from it. Now I guess I can use the board to create a little 3-D floorplan for my diabolical scheme to buy ice cream from the DQ drive-thru to pull it with precision. And hot fudge.

                      It's toxic and flammable. We used to light our hands on-fire coated in it. Because dumb and immortal.
                      Other dummies huffed it and passed-out in the film closets in the photography classrooms. Because dumber and probably not here today.
