yeah fuck that jazz. the fedi has serious design flaws, and at the moment the inmates are running the asylum. I'm a free speech absolutist.. you are free to say whatever, be it true or lies, and I am free to mute or block you, quietly. There should be no banning online.. just good block & filter tools. That was the ethos in the old days. It's been washed away in the flood of woke.

Something that the GOP has learned to use well. Nixon perfected it in the 70's just adding to what McCarthy tried in the 50's to end "freedom of speech".

Yes, there is a very McCarthy-esque repressive tone to the woke movement of recent years, but the left version of it. Sadly the kids today are too young to remember and too ignorant of history to know this about what they are doing. Free thought is not allowed. Troubled times. Who knew it'd come to this?

Hm. I have never used the stock software on any of my routers. Does it really matter where the hardware was made?
Yup. If you control the hw, you can embed malware within firmware (efi for example), which will survive a reinstall or just have your own minimal secondary system like intel management engine (but less bloated).

@kDelta I've gone to Linux on Pi to avoid IME for my DD. Although I have a steam PC (Linux).
