#knitting question:
We’re watching How to Get to Heaven From Belfast (only three episodes in so no spoilers please!) and I really like the look of Saoirse’s jumper as seen here.
Any idea if there’s a similar pattern to make myself?
Thanks.

@Sobtanian Great series!
The jumper reminds me of Alice Starmore's Aran knitting patterns. I don't know if you know her work, but the book I have (Aran knitting( has patterns for specific cables and such. Not the actual jumper. -
@Sobtanian not perfect, and you probably already considered it, but dagmar? https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dagmar-sweater-4
@pointysticksncoffee I have not, that looks great. Thanks!

@Sobtanian check out her other dagmar patterns, there's a few different options (like men, cardi, zipper, child)

@Sobtanian that show was real fun. Just out of curiosity: could you spell her name without looking it up?

@pointysticksncoffee I made her Moby sweater for myself, but the swatch lied to me and the end result came out too big.
I threw all caution to the wind and washed it in hot water and tumble dried it, and it actually worked

@irgndsondepp yes I could. I work in the NHS in England so have been exposed to all manners of Irish name spellings you can imagine.
I currently work with someone Irish called Aisling, pronounced Ashley.

@Sobtanian oh that makes total sense. I forgot that you work in the NHS.
I wonder how many people out on the street would be able to spell it correctly.
I couldn't spell or in reverse pronounce anything written out for the life of me. I vacationed in Ireland for 2 weeks and managed to mispronounce pretty much everything.
But it's such a beautiful country. I really need to get back there. -
