    Titled The Land We Share, it depicts the 12 Chinese zodiac animals on its right and the seven First Nations sacred-teaching animals on its left."

      @Daveography It's a really cool mural. But between the design pigments & the fact that it's on the north side of the building, I'm kind of skeptical about how much solar energy it's collecting. The fact it's made of solar panels seems kind of like a gimmick designed to grab them headlines like this one.

      (The rest of the building, on the sunny sides, has regular solar panels, I believe.)

        @AmeliasBrain @Daveography

        "Compared to the standard non-coloured solar panels scaling the rest of the building, the coloured panels that are part of the mural are 30 per cent less efficient depending on their hue, Mr. Tonsi says."

        But it will collect some power, looks cool, and prevents the building from being another grey eyesore in the downtown. The artwork is probably on the north side since it's not the biggest power generator anyway, and will keep the art from fading as fast.
