expect a public excoriation and immediate block.
This is not the place for your gd culture war.
We don't even know the full motivation yet, all we know is this was a deeply troubled young person who did not get what they needed to survive and be a productive member of society.
That is a failure on all of us. This event is our collective failure.
First we support the community and the people directly affected... then we figure out how we could have supported this family in a way that would have prevented this outcome.

@chris
You rarely see anyone say that the shooter was a racist. But that is what happens in Texas Walmarts and Buffalo supermarkets. The shooter may have been unhinged. But we can tell he was a racist. Nobody says that. -

@chris The Tumbler Ridge shooting, guns had been confiscated from the home of the shooter.
" mental health-related calls over the last several years. He said some of the calls dealt with weapons .. Deputy Commissioner Dwayne McDonald said police had responded to the suspect's home for mental health-related calls in the past and seized firearms, which were later returned. "
The outrage constructed over the identity of the shooter will be used to hide how a failure in gun ownership policy played a big part of this tragedy.
