    Tomorrow (Friday) and possibly for a day or to thereafter I may be scarce around these parts because *I AM GOING TO BE STABBED IN THE LEFT EYE*! (Second cataract surgery time, nothing to see here, move along now …) NB: I am *not* posting this for sympathy and best wishes, just information.

    @cstross with your previously stated rough time writing (and reading) because of your vision troubles, I appreciate your efforts to still be present here on mastodon!

        Hopefully this won't affect your appearance at Eastercon. I have something for you.

              @cstross But you will get my sympathy and my best wishes regardless of the intended purpose of your post.

              See you soon, and hopefully more sightedly!

                  @cstross its like magic. Especially if your cataracts have been there for a while. As an outside observer the difference is stunning

                  @BabblingGeek @cstross
                  Agreed! Good luck, I had both eyes done years ago, got them optimized for reading/computer screen distance, so use glasses for driving or watching detailed slide shows from back of room, but otherwise fine without.
                  Skiing is also better, no glasses to fog, assuming we actually had much snow left.

                            @cstross I regret forgetting to tell the surgeon, upon waking up and getting the "how are you?", not replying with "I feel like I've been drugged and stabbed."

                            Staircase wit.

                            Good luck.
