It does not establish however that there is a causal link from millionaire tax to increased wealth for everyone, though the Kansas counterexample is suggestive.

@martinvermeer @WeirdWriter @northernlights I think the point is not to link wealth distribution with increased taxes on high earners - it is to link improved happiness due to those taxes going towards general public goods like libraries, community centers, free transit, etc.

I included the link because it’s just so absolutely ridiculous I thought no one would believe it otherwise.Our millionaire former governor Ricketts was able to get rid of all the Republicans who didn’t back him and donated massive amounts to the Republicans who replaced them, because money wins elections. Then he handpicked and backed his successor so he could be appointed Senator when Sasse stepped down to U of Fl, $ was donated to DeSantis’ campaign too.
