@jeremyjackson yeah that still works - didn't fix it, alas.
@bigzaphod booooo

Killing and restarting Slack doesn't fix it.
I suppose I have to try rebooting my whole computer now and see if it fixes it?
Sigh.
Rebooting didn't fix it.
Hilariously, resizing it from the bottom left corner kinda worked.. the window jumped all over the place really janky while I did it, but I was able to maneuver it to a larger size and then move the window.
wtf.

@bigzaphod Is there no other alternative to Slack? Surely there must be a better way?

@dfgomes I don't know.... the really sad thing is I've heard it's still better than Teams.

@bigzaphod seeing as how your team is probably all running macOS, could you not use a combination of iMessage and lists in Reminders to create to do’s, tasks, projects et cetera?
-
@rayko did you ever get it un-stuck? I rebooted even and it's still happening.
@bigzaphod In my case it wasn't stuck, been using it normally so far, the people's list is just quite in some tiny-font mode for whatever reason. Smaller icons and just a bunch of pixels for their online status indicator.

@dfgomes I dunno, maybe. A long time ago we used to do that. Although we have a lot of different product channels so it makes it easier to keep messages separated or like, easier to ignore channels I might not be working on but someone else is. But on the other hand, maybe it doesn't have to be that way either.

@bigzaphod Resizing is probably a premium feature now. Try upping your plan.

@bigzaphod I understand. It’s complicated. I personally always prefer a native solution first. Even for personal stuff.
I will not buy a to-do app when the Reminders app on iPhone already can do everything I needed it to. Or I will not install a second calculator when the one built in already works. Same with mail etc.
I only look for a third-party solution when native solutions aren’t enough or don’t exist.
Native is generally less friction and built in so nothing to manage.

@bigzaphod FWIW instead of Slack’s official macOS app, I’ve been using slack.com as a Safari web app. Works great, with no Electron bloat.
