Though it's not quite as dire as the headline makes it sound. It is being replaced with a new system that is nationally compatible and interoperable - something the existing system isn't.
The speed at which they're doing it however is very quick - only 28 days from when the new system goes live and the old system is axed.
CBC sure is loving embelishing headlines these days - Yeesh.

@javensbukan The way I understand it is that there is no replacement system.
