"Morgan Stanley’s investor research on air conditioning is 'mind numbingly cynical', McCully said. 'Especially as it comes just months after they first weakened their decarbonization targets and then quit the Net Zero Banking Alliance."

US banks predict climate goals will fail – but air conditioning firms will thrive

@dyckron I frequently return to the opening of Kim Stanley Robinson’s Ministry for the Future. When the power fails, everything fails.

@hamishb @dyckron those first chapters are among the best and also most frightening thing that I have read. Everyone should read Ministry for the Future. It not only brings home the reality of climate change, but also offers hope that we might be able to adapt in a way that will make life better for everyone.
