I should also recite the famous poem "First They Came" by Pastor Martin Niemöller, because there is a concerted effort from the far-right of pretending the first 3 parts out of 5 in this poem doesn't exist (including in Legislature when the UCP accused the NDP, a union-formed political party, of misappropriation for invoking this poem in defense of Alberta Unions being persecuted by the UCP):
First they came for the Communists

Mussolini And Hitler both famously named their movements "socialist" in order to hide their true ideologies and to appeal to actual socialists to join their cause.That someone like Poilievre doesn't know that, particularly as he has never held a real private sector job and has only ever worked in the world of politics and political science, says a lot about his grasp of history.
And, as they saying goes, you don't know where you're going if you don't know where you've been. I would never want someone like that to lead my country!

@evdelen Yup, because socialism is the cause of the people, or rather the masses. They know they need that support. Just like Poilievre pretending to speak for the working class.
