Wasn't impressed to get this email yesterday. Apparently, 38.3 million Canadian Tire accounts were breached in October, with very little media coverage and no communication from Canadian Tire itself.

I share the same sentiments. I can accept that breaches occur (for both technical and human reasons) but failing to disclose it to those whose data was breached is unacceptable.

@chad Canadian Tire is yet another company that doesn’t allow you to change your email address. You know, for “security.” Also? Their database included previous email addresses, not just the current one. It could not be any more clear that Canadian Tire has resigned themselves to having their lunch eaten by Amazon.
