@mayintoronto Every curling club has a learn to curl type event each September, so that’s one way to give it a try. There are also lots of lower-commitment and beginner leagues you can join to try it out. My 2SLGBTQIA Sunday league has a sibling league for queer women and trans folk that runs Saturdays and focuses on learning to curl at the start each fall, for example. There are other open beginner leagues around the city and region too.

If you’re interested in checking out the vibe and Queen and Broadview is convenient, we curl every Sunday (games from 9am-6pm), and the queer women league is 12-2 every Saturday. But this coming weekend is our gigantic bonspie which is great fun and very crowded, with many events and costumes and such - you’re welcome to drop in and watch! Please DM me if you’re coming and I can try to be there and introduce myself and show you around; wouldn’t want you to feel too lost!
