From its roots as a mining town to its renewal as a cultural, recreational, and ecological hub, Cumberland is proof that fossil fuel interests don't have to dictate the futures of resource communities—the people can.
We can reclaim our economies to work for us, not corporate interests. We can respect Indigenous land rights, protect our watersheds, guarantee real food security, and create good, family-sustaining jobs.
