Are multiple daily disturbances and cancellations your normal experience with trains where you live?

There's only busses here and they're occasionally late but reliable. My only major complaint is that they don't have a passenger list for out of town trips, so sometimes they skip a stop and leave me in another city. Guess I'm the only one who dares travel rurally or something.
