    "There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there always has been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge" #Quote Isaac Asimov

      @Rasta
      The US has a deliberate cult of ignorance fostered by gov't cuts to public education, paying teachers crap wages, and forcing anyone who wants their kids to get a decent education to pay for it in a private school.

        @Rasta they just do Not also see what others see about them being the way they are .. especially when

        thinking they can get others to tell them what they dislike and have reason to blame others for their lack of

        actually learning about the reality of what's happening around them ...it's so sad that there is still too many

        of those blind to what the criminal is doing or that they themselves are of the same like mind and are doing criminal things

            @Lstn2urmama @Rasta
            Yes, it's generational. The people who vote for the GOP have been marginalized by this system. This is exactly what the right wing wants in Canada. Add in racism, bigotry and misogyny and you have the fascist toolbox.

              @wordstitcher @Rasta SAD world we live and this is something that naturized natives have put up with since others have landed here

              and the stories of how they were being killed of what was called kindness offering given blankets tainted with smallpox or the food source of Buffalo where herded and killed to almost extinct them ..

              First farmers were the natives and their knowledge of plant life and uses herbal and medical and have been teaching mankind ever since ..

              But still some of the unknown rules from the years of the past still are not known on how they are still being mistreated or as included as we think they are ...they are still separate medically and financially as ever and yet people pretend they are no different than the rest of us still after hundreds of years...
