Apparently, telling coworkers I keep work as "work" and my life outside the office separate "struck a nerve."

@cass_m I'm sure it does. I just keep two very different aspects to my life. Work life and Personal life. Rarely do they ever cross. When they do, I pull back and disappear.

@cass_m I've long realised that I like work to be work. Without the need for the social aspect. Sure, I'll talk to colleagues and what not, I'll keep it brief to the point... I'm very much the type that creates his own social balance and work colleagues don't fit into that.

@MartinGuay I have good small talk…although it can veer. I tend to keep stuff siloed as well.

@JustAnotherJay heck tell me about it. It's enough that they check my socials... Had to tell one them, if you don't like it don't check it. I'm not gonna censor myself because it makes you uncomfortable.
