Hey #Yeg friends, I want to share a quick story about UPS.
I recently ordered a new MacBook from Apple.ca and selected home delivery. On the delivery date, I received a text from UPS that the laptop had been delivered even though it hadn’t. I called UPS who told me “Catherine” had signed for the new computer and I explained nobody by that name lives at our address. The support person at UPS walked me through opening a support claim on their website.
After getting off the call with UPS, I called Apple and explained the situation and they immediately opened an investigation. Three business days later, Apple sent an email that a replacement laptop was being shipped. Five days after that, UPS finally responded to my claim with an email telling me to contact Apple.
When UPS delivered the replacement laptop, they left it on my front step, rang the doorbell, and left without getting a signature.

@KenHemmerling Well, I'm glad you got your laptop.
I'm extra glad that it will be Apple reps going after UPS to track down the mis-delivered one, and not you!

I started to request that the retailer not use UPS after I ordered from the US and UPS tried to charge me more for duties and fees than the item cost in the first place. I refused it.
Mind you a replacement delivery service kept telling me they couldn't find my apartment block even tho I'm in a semi-detached … -
