      I've always called them 'tiger' but I don't what their 'official name' is.

        @worldsworstgoth I was thinking Japanese Iris but the reference I have disagrees.
        These pics looks close but not exact.

          The original surveyors would plant these at the corners of lots - hence their local name, 'flags.'
