I have noticed a slew of new accounts with obviously AI generated avatar images, and extremely generic bits of folksy wisdom.

I am not going to follow you if you use AI generated images.

Also, at the age of 63, I have already accumulated all the banal, folksy wisdom I require, thanks.

@Remittancegirl @cstross This is the fediverse. Banal, folksy wisdom here should at least include a reference to guillotining landlords or the fact that craft supplies can be good for stabbing or something.

@Remittancegirl So far they've been easy to spot, and thankfully less common here than elsewhere, at least for me. Being on a server with a specific focus may help.

@acb @Remittancegirl @cstross I remember fondly the minor reveal in Hobb's Farseer trilogy that the queen's old friend and constant companion, always prattling and knitting, is actually a trained bodyguard deadly with needles.
