The reason I've been so quiet lately is because I've been driving all day long, yesterday and today. And last night I spent the night parked on the side of the road in the only town in Oregon that doesn't have any cell signal. That was weird.
Jordan Valley, OR. It's on route 95 and gets a ton of truck traffic.

If I recall correctly there used to be an excellent family-style basque restaurant there. That was 20 years ago, so who knows if it's still there. Google Maps doesn't seem to know anything about it.

@wanderinghermit There isn't much there. I saw a coffee shop and a café.
I chose Jordan Valley because there was supposed to be free Boondocking at a town park. But because there was no cell signal, I could not consult my map and I could not find it. When I got there I saw a big gravel area with a truck in and big dirt lot with a $20 Parking sign.

I wound up parking on a wide shoulder across the street from the post office.

I don't remember which way we drove from 95 to get there, but I really doubt that it is still around. The food was good, though.
