I’ve started the seeds, now that the beds are prepped with compost and covered with weed-block cloth in my community garden plot. It should take no time for the seedlings to emerge by the bright window under the plant light.


These plastic salad containers are great for this! Everything is repurposed and reused.

FWIMC: the cuke and sunflower seeds are already sprouting! And I can see the beans are fattening under the soil.
I also decided to propagate some begonia. Propagation of plants gives me joy. lol

After many years, I feel I finally got the timing right (for this region, it’s colder longer in the spring). Seedlings radiate such a burst of energy, a positive force, it’s worth all the trouble. 🥰

@JeniParsons well, 2 different kinds of kale, dill, basil, lettuce, okra, cucumber, Roma tomato, sunflower, pink and white meadowsweet,* hollyhock,* bittermelon, forget-me-not, blue salvia, some tall grass,* mitsuba,* begonia,** green beans, yellow summer squash, and zucchini.

** from cuttingsNot all of them sprouted yet, we’ll see!
