Is there a cure for citrus scale bug infestation on my wintering citrus trees? I drastically cutback branches and wiped down the remaining leaves and took off the obvious bugs from the branches with vinegar and isopropyl alcohol. This scale bug problem has been going on for a few years. #stickySituation 🪴

@otterX I’ve had pretty good luck this Winter from spraying my citrus trees with a diluted soapy water mixture:
One or two pumps of Dawn dish soap into a spray bottle of tap water.I’ve been spraying every time or every other time they’re watered, letting the soapy water sit for 5-10 minutes until it starts to evaporate, then rinsing with plain tap water and watering.

@dpc2 Thank you. I’ll give that a try. I’ve been away for 7+ weeks, so they got “stickier” than usual.
