Verse the Days Also available here: https://listen.music-hub.com/8eFb9S People regularly ask me, “Where are these vocals from?” and “Why are the vocalists not credited?” The answer is quite simple: I’m not allowed to credit them. The vocals in my music are from sample packs you can buy online. Often, the vocals are a small part of a bigger pack, and the musicians and vocalists are not credited even on the packs. However, there are also packs where the musicians and vocalists are credited, or a vocalist created an entire pack of vocals. The first thing you read under every vocal pack is: “As outlined in our Terms of Use, you may not use XY’s name, image, or likeness without XY’s express written permission.” Because I believe credit should be given where it is due, I reached out to them. Of the few who responded, all of them wrote: “No need to credit me, thanks.” That’s the reason why there are no vocal or musician credits on this or other albums. It’s kind of funny, actually. After releasing jazz, funk and soul music for many, many years, and gradually falling more and more in love with electronic club music over the past decade (wanting to leave soul and jazz behind for a while) the first track of this album somehow just 'happened' last year. Confronted with a dark period that kept pulling me down, working on this album kept lifting me back up. As I said, this album wasn’t planned. But somehow I found myself working on that first soulful jazz track, realized I was feeling better, and simply kept going until it turned into a whole. Et voilà, a new album.
