Sarcomyxa serotina is a species of fungus that is also known as olive oysterling. In North America it is known as late fall oyster or late oyster mushroom. They thrive in cold weather, it fruits after the first snow, is not closely related to true oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus species). It colors like a shrek swamp, displaying a "Shrek-like" combination of vibrant olive green, yellowish-brown, or even purple/violet tones on their caps.
