Home cameras, even simple cheap ones like Roku, are helpful for #cat owners. Some ways I've found them helpful:
- record the food bowl for elderly cats, make sure they're eating. (Cats develop serious liver disease after just a few days without eating)
- keep an eye on foster cats in their room from across the house
- record shy foster cats so you can see what they're up to when they're alone
- watch a trap in the yard so you know as soon as you catch a cat to TNR
- aim at a feral feeding station/area to see who shows up
