There's a particular feeling I get, centered on my head, when I am a certain degree of tired. Not just "I'm sleepy" or "wow, I need to lie down" but "SYSTEM SHUT DOWN IMMINENT! CLOSE ALL FILES OR RISK SYSTEM FAILURE!"

It doesn't happen a lot, and I can't describe the feeling, but I have learned to recognize it. Recently I have started being aware of it when I wake up, mostly on (wife's) work days that involve an alarm. After learning to pay attention, I think I've correlated it to impending burnout. I've started choosing to go back to bed rather than my usual routine of getting up to make us both breakfast before she starts work. It's difficult for me, since that is my job (full time housewife), but my wife has been very understanding, and I believe my health is improving for it.

Don't we just love interoception issues? 🙄

@TonyaMarie it’s good that she’s understanding. That helps so much! And good for you for not only listening to your body but following through! I’m guilty of that as well.
