I still don't get #startrek weapons. Won't the phasers just phase past the shields, jammers, and every other conceivable form of defense?

@alexheartnet "Phasers" are actually particle beams - nadion particles, to be precise.
The "phase" bit supposedly refers to the way the energy is stored.
