I remember a time when it made sense to delete trailing spaces in documents to conserve disk space. A colleague of my mother used to advise this, ~1982. I can still remember the smell of the office from when I used to visit, toner, IT equipment. It smelled exciting, professional.

@alexanderdyas Ah office memories! Must'nt forget the cacophony of typewriters and shrill ringing phones. However, I don't miss the ever present haze of cigarette smoke.
