What is the deal with Dubai chocolate all of a sudden?
-
@APBBlue that fad has already come and gone here in Berlin, and I can say that those among my friends who raved about it last year are acting a bit sheepish about it now
@datn Still going strong over here.

@intransitivelie@beige.party @APBBlue@thepit.social There's probably already one in Japan.
@deathkitten @APBBlue
Maybe, but it'd be Nestlé there I think. -
What is the deal with Dubai chocolate all of a sudden? It's annoying me. (I probably shouldn't be annoyed, but I am.)
@APBBlue
Dude, it's been around since '23! Kinda a dumb fad if you ask me. A reason to make a chocolate bars outrageously expensive -

Hershey is the OG enshittifier: they intentionally ruin their flagship product to make it taste of sour milk because of nostalgia, and they've bought up every other international chocolate brand's US distro rights and ruined those recipes too.
So yeah, the Hershey kitkat version is the ultimate sign that the trend is gone. -

@APBBlue It’s not good, overhyped and overpriced.

@APBBlue I’ve wondered the same thing myself. I’d never heard of it until a couple of months ago. I do admit to enjoying Dubai chocolate-flavored coffee, but I don’t know how, or if, it differs from other chocolate.

@Thumper1964 @APBBlue
The only difference is it's full of "pistachio" paste and has crushed "pistachios" on top
