We constructed poverty as we know it. Poverty is a legal status imposed on those excluded from legal access to the needs of life. It is economic injustice. It is a weapon built to fear.

Poverty is a Death Star.

We are maybe entering a star wars phase for the planet in order to enter, if we survive, a star trek universe. All be it that one will need a lot of work. Undoubtedly humaneity (not a misspelling by the way) as an aim is a work in progress.
I would add a belief in UBI, which I consider a citizens premium, and a possible saviour of democracy, and maybe citizenship itself, would be my starting point. At least for now.
