It's mild and damp out today and life is returning to the dale. This newt was under some stones I was moving. It wandered off into the wall nearby.

I counted 60 or 70 Lapwing going up and down the beck. A few landed nearby and were looking like marking out territory. About 100 starling also foraging up and down. Curlew and Oystercatcher here and there, by the Beck and higher up the slopes.

@Ivor Good morning Ivor. It is a habitat shuffle every time you move some stones.
