Pam Bondi & Epstein
Bondi could have tried Epstein in Florida anytime from 2011 as Florida's Attorney General.
Bondi was still AG in 2018, when, again, she refused to open a case despite having new evidence from ~80 victims.
After FB1 involvement in 2006, only minor charges against Epstein were brought out of the many serious allegations made by Palm Beach police.

@DrALJONES The FBI wanted to do more, but that's all under the control of the UA Attorney, not the FBI.

Would you elaborate a bit more? Was it necessary for the charges to be brought in Florida, and was it thus up to Acosta to decide what charges he'd choose to make? In other words, was Acosta the only person who could decide that?
PS much appreciate a source if you happen to have one

@DrALJONES well, regardless of FBI or small town police department, they investigate, and turn it all over to prosecutors, be they US attorneys in the DOJ for federal stuff, and your district attorney locally. I probably heard it in the 4 part episode that the Behind The Bastards podcast recently did.
