I was
catwoman
abandoned
pushed past
the edge
swallowed
by darkness
left for dead
and yet
protected
by providence
resurrected
for purpose

lick my tears
carry the rage
past the fears
move with grace

it took all my strength
to take no more revenge
than building myself
back up
again and again

I guess I got
eight more times
left to try
rebirth
is my birthright
