@tsrono Where did you hear it? I still haven't gotten anything from the mailing list, etc.

probably nabbing the CD on this one. Bleep's got an exclusive LP + print too for the interested. description makes it seems like this should be a pretty interesting entry into the #Squarepusher canon.

@tsrono Oh this! He’s been teasing us with profile pic changes etc. That preview track sounds so beautiful. Thought it would be Thundercat without vocals. Happy he brings back his bass. Was almost ordering on bandcamp but then saw your Bleep note for the exclusive version. Cheers

@tsrono I like this! Always loved his work but he started losing me around Be Up a Hello a bit… I wonder if he’s using robots to play acoustic instruments here? It doesn’t list other musicians, but there’s clearly some acoustic stuff going on (could be sampled, but I don’t think so)

@chorist i didn't see anything particularly odd mentioned in the writeup via Bleep/Bandcamp so i'm assuming it's some pretty straightforward recorded acoustic stuff and/or programmed things. you know if he was using some weird technique they'd be leading off the writeups w/ that...lol

whatever the case, sounds pretty cool to my ears. may wait until there's another track or two out before i buy the CD tho, i'm a bit like you in that i don't fall in for everything he touches necessarily...

@tsrono True true… and I just watched the video and I see a human hand holding the stick that hits the drum… still curious though, I swear I hear a woodwind or two, and some of those video shots look like it’s from inside an oboe or clarinet or something? But maybe Tom shreds on the clarinet too

@chorist oh, not seen the video but that's making sense.

print w/ the exclusive vinyl is a dramatic image of a piano so he's def implying leaning on the traditional instrumentation here...
