@AAKL It is kind of comical that by pushing the AI hype, Microsoft caused the RAM to become so expensive that they have to reduce the AI hype.

@autiomaa That - and not knowing when to stop until things start breaking down. Microsoft has become obsessive-compulsive about its AI.

@AAKL @theregister @ssharwood too tired this morning to even attempt to break down the nonsense from Davuluri.
In short, it appears Microsoft did not have a well thought out strategy other than shoving Copilot into every aspect of Windows 11 without regard for the end user.
Also I would like to meet this community of people who deeply care about Windows 11. Do they exist other than in his head?

@AAKL Not only their own GenAI tools, as Microsoft is internally using Claude from one of the main competitors, because Microsoft's own GenAI tools are not accurate enough (for their own use).

@Walker @theregister @ssharwood You need a coffee without a big "M" in it.
Microsoft has been doing the same thing with AI, shoving it everywhere, over and over without learning from previous mistakes, not knowing where to stop or whether it should stop. This isn't normal behavior.

@autiomaa It's ironic, kinda like admitting Claude is better than Copilot. But what Microsoft is doing, in addition to using Claude for coding, is using it to improve its own AI.
