I have OFTEN had a conversation that went along the lines of My Dude hammering on about some "Big Fear"

I would ask them to list out the top ten things they thought would put them in the ER, ICU, or morgue
Then I would run the CDC WONDER report of causes of death, the ICU data report, and the ER report.

And I would show them that NONE of the things on their list were even in the top 50 actual causes, and that none of the actual things were on their list
