The library was my happy place since I was a little kid in Manhattan and checked out the entire Little House on the Prairie series in one go.
I remember the librarian being gently amused as they watched me trying to hold the whole stack in my kid-length arms
Worked my way thru college at 3 of the libraries on campus. Worked the last 3 decades of my career at corporate libraries. Now retired & often at the public library.
