Hello friends,

@elduvelle indeed hence posting here anyway, but I don't think he's got an account.

Hello friends,
Where is a good place to search for iOS dev/engineer jobs that isn't LinkedIn? Got a friend struggling with the job hunt (because job hunting sucks! Solidarity to anyone else going through it).
They're in Ontario, at the Toronto end, if that makes a difference.
Thank you!
i'm sorry to hear, it's tough out there.
fwiw, last time i was on the hunt, outside of linkedin i was trying these 2:

@gMoon thank you!

@wendythedruid I suspect at this point they're not very fussy. Quite left leaning though, and not so mad keen on AI - which might knock out some options.
@sarajw my company has roles , they are queer trans friendly ( they hired me and I’m a mouthy 54yo trans woman ) , and they are Canadian based

@wendythedruid amazing - he's incommunicado at the moment but I've quoted and linked this post in an IM to him
thank you! -

This may sound stupid but it can give great results: send a one-time email to all friends, former clients and colleagues.
Good luck.

Yes, seconding the last part of this. You know they're hiring, you have taken a moment to scope them out, you know your application is going to that firm and not scammers, all that. Plus, you can better highlight your experience when using the company's application system vs Indeed's (not always, but this is particularly true for me when the company's system is simply "email us a cover letter and CV"). -

I also go to the original site and hope that I get to email a human

Yes, Data Freelance Hub:
https://www.datafreelancehub.com/Also, this one I stumbled upon yesterday seems quite US-centric, but might be useful for them:
https://freelance-jobs.meetharlow.com/jobs/developmentI think the rest of mine are all UK-focused. Good luck to them!
