    One fun thing about #textureTuesday is that the barrier to entry is so low. Interesting texture is literally everywhere.

      Do you have a collection of "background" images?

        Here's something fun I noticed just now. Exactly one of these ridges, near the end of the paper towel roll, is much wider than all the rest.

        Some artifact of the manufacturing process? Or did someone design it this way for purely decorative purposes?

          @shapr Share and enjoy! How about yourself?

          (I particularly like the attached one, it's not irritatingly busy, and it has good contrast with things that sit on the desktop.)

            @mjd Wow, those are pretty!

            I have a few, but nothing online. Perhaps I should change that 🤔

              @shapr I really like those William Morris fabrics. I think I got them from a 4chan thread many years ago.

                  @christianp I want to check one of the other rolls and see if the wide one is in the same place.

                    @mjd Maybe it’s a copyright thing, like how dictionaries add fake words to know if someone steals their definitions. You don’t want competitors stealing your ridges!

                      @mjd yes, it's fun and a low hanging fruit. But it also teaches to have a second look at seemingly trivial things. That's why I enjoy this hashtag so much. 😉
